TOT SHABBAT & Shabbat b'simcha SERVICES

Held on the first Friday of most months, Tot Shabbat begins at 6PM and runs approximately 30 minutes.  It is followed by a pot-luck dinner at 6:30 PM (subject to change if COVID-19 levels are high).  Then at 7:30PM is our Shabbat B'Simcha service.  This service is popular among our young families, and often features a particular grade of student participation from our Religious School.

What does kosher-style mean?
No pork or shellfish and no meat and dairy in the same dish.  (doesn't have to be kosher)

We want to be inclusive of everyone's dietary choices, so items offered should adhere to these guidelines. You can choose to mix meat and dairy on your individual plates.

How many people should my dish serve?
Please bring a dish that serves 6-8 people (preheated if a hot dish).

What should I bring?
Bring what you like!  Families bring an array of items, both store-bought and homemade.  Popular dishes include roasted chicken, macaroni and cheese, casseroles, vegetable lasagna, roasted vegetables and salads.  Appetizers are also welcome - such as veggies and dips and cheese and crackers.

Mishpacha Meet-ups

Mishpacha (Family) Meet-ups is a group of families at Temple Sinai with school-aged children, but all are welcome. Our goal is to get to know each other, build a community, and feel more “at home” in the temple. Past events have included Shabbat dinners and services at Lake Massapoag, game nights at the Temple, and volunteering for School on Wheels and Cradles to Crayons.
