Hesed-Caring Community

The Hesed (Caring) Committee is dedicated to the principle that we, as temple members, care for one another. The committee strives to support the temple community during times of need by offering strength, steadfastness, and kindness. We reach out to temple members who have experienced a hardship or a death in the family. We call on those members who have lost a loved one, offering condolences on behalf of Temple Sinai, and offer a meal of comfort to be sent to the member’s home where shiva is being observed. Members of the committee also reach out to congregants who are ill, injured, or who have special needs, in order to listen and offer whatever assistance we can to the individual or family.
