Temple Sinai’s Platinum Anniversary Auction

This extraordinary event will include a VIP cocktail reception featuring signature drinks sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka and fantastic food sponsored by La Cucina. We will hold a silent auction with hundreds of items. 

We are especially excited to announce that Maria Stephanos, co-anchor of News Center 5 will be the celebrity auctioneer at our live auction, featuring one of a kind experiences.

PARKING: On-site parking is available both at Temple Sinai, and at a supplemental lot across Canton Street. Attendants will be available to assist you. 

GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES: Temple Sinai is equipped to meet the needs of people needing accommodations for certain disabilities.  Access to the facilities is by ramp and we have wheelchairs available for use if needed.  There is a bathroom especially designed for those who require a physical accommodation. Through the generosity of the Shamitz family, Temple Sinai has a complete Auditory Assistance System, with a limited number of wireless receivers and earbuds for use.  Please see Temple representative at check-in to request one.

  1. Is there a cost for general admission to the auction? 

No, general admission is free.  Come and bring your friends!


  1. When does bidding start for the auction?

May 31st.  Get an early start on bidding at


  1. When can I bid?  Can I preview items?

Early online bidding opens on June 3rd at and will close online Wednesday June 10th


Bidding will then resume at our amazing event on June 13th and close at 8 PM.

  1. Will there be a charge for drinks at the auction? 

No!  Drinks have been donated and so we will have an open bar with signature drinks from our Silver Sponsor, Tito’s Handmade Vodka as well as beer and wine.


  1. Will there be food at the auction? 

Yes.  We will have light appetizers and dessert and coffee at the auction.


  1. Do I need paper tickets for the event?

No!  You will check in at the door. Update your Bidding for Good account now!


  1. How should I dress for this fabulous event?

Smart casual is appropriate for this event.  In other words, no specific rules for women but a polished look and for men, denim, chinos or suit pants with a dress shirt or other type of nice shirt and no ties.


  1. What time do I need to arrive if I only want to attend the live auction?

7:45 so that we can be sure you are checked in with a bidding number


  1. What if I cannot attend the Live Event but I am interested in bidding on items?

We are happy to provide a proxy bidder for you.  Please email and one of our volunteers will contact you to set up a plan.


  1. How will I know if I win a silent auction item?

The winning bidder will get an email indicated that the item has been won


  1. How can I attend the VIP reception? 

Tickets are $50 each OR

  1. What is special about the VIP reception? 

Maria Stephanos* will be there for an informal meet and greet.  We will have a cocktail reception with food from La Cucina in Easton.  Get your tickets now before we sell out!


  1. How will check out work at the event?

Once the live auction has ended, we will serve dessert and coffee and check people out in batches.  We will work as quickly and efficiently as we can and ask for your patience.


We will accept credit cards, cash and checks. We greatly appreciate checks and cash which reduce the fees we pay but will happily accept the payment method of your choice.


*Given our change in date due to COVID-19 concerns, some details may have to change including our auctioneer—our committee is working hard to ensure an amazing event during which we can come together as a community.
